Nanny Moss Celebrates 82nd Birthday in Paris
82 just a few weeks ago Nanny Moss is persuaded to venture on Eurostar to Paris for a few days sightseeing.  Seen here in Montmatre having a quick coffee and sheltering from the rain.

Without being given a choice we just had to get a portrait done sitting in the old square in Montmatre.  Nanny was good humored about it but did not like the finished product!  The artist is called Flo.

Vic's Bar The Taits Hit Marbella
Vic finds his namesake beach bar "Victors Bar" on "Victors Beach".  Situated halfway between Marbella and Peurto Banus it is apparently THE PLACE for all the ex-pats to gather. Here are Lillian and Gillian in the sun.  Look at that sky!

Happy Birthday Gill

January 10th saw Gill's birthday arrive again.  I am far too polite to even give a clue as to her new age.  Sam and Tom arranged a surprise party for her at Nicola's house after school.  Ron took them to the supermarket where they were allowed to chose whatever food they wanted.  On arrival at the house they set about like demons to lay out the table and set out all the food and drinks.  Cute or what?  Gill loved it.

Tom stars in school dance display

Westbrook Hay held their annual Lower School Dance Display.  Young Tom was there.  They did The Sound of Music and Tom was dressed up as a junge Deutche.  The picture is Tom after the show.  You can see the artistic exhaustion?

Happy Birthday Nicola

Late October saw Nicola's 34th birthday.  As guests of Liam and Nicola we all gathered at the Royal Oak pub in Bovingdon for a celebratory meal.  Thanks Liam.  It was a nice evening and we all enjoyed ourselves.  I only took a couple of photos and this is the only one with Nicola in it.  I don't know what poor Liam has done but judging by the look on Nicola's face he is getting quite an ear bashing. Leave him alone Nicola!  That's Gill at the end there - oblivious to all the fun.  Anyway, I checked with Nicola afterwards about the look and she could not explain it.

Hello Sophie

A big welcome to the newest member of our family Sophie Catherine Lawson.  Sophie joined us on 27th September 2001.  She weighed 6lb 13ozs and Sophie and Mum are doing well.

Sophie was delivered by Caesarian Section, and brave Mum, Lesley, stayed awake and watched through the process. Dad, Neil is of course as proud as punch.  He has every right to be.  Lesley is now on maternity leave from Midland bank and hopes to resume her career in a few months.  We visited Sophie when she was 9 days old.  She is a pretty baby with a head full of hair.  I can definitely see the resemblance to Neil, poor Sophie!.

Frithsden  is where we live and is a very small village in Hertfordshire, England.  It is near the Chiltern Hills and nests in acres of National Trust forest at Ashridge.  It has a pub and about 30 houses spread around the area.  The problems of finding a free domain that some cyber squatter has not pinched led to our choice of Frithsden.  Potten End, Nettleden, Little Gaddesden and Berkhamsted are nearby.
